Beyond the Black Stump

Denny and I had our first experience of the Outback in July – only a week, far too short, but a great taste of what's to come in future. I relate the story of our trip in short, with virtual tours, poetry, slideshows and fortunately for you, no singing. Click on the map pins, click on the description to open the page for that area.

Our trip started in Adelaide, two nights

A short stopover in Port Germein

Two nights in Quorn

One night in Marree, stopping in at Parachilna on the way.

Two nights in Blinman, stopping in at Parachilna and visiting Parachilna Gorge, Glass Gorge and Brachina Gorge.

One night at Wilpena Pound, stopping in at the Brachina and Bunyeroo gorge and Sacred Canyon.

One night in Mildura on the way home, on the NSW banks of the Murray River.
